Chris Camillo Explores the Retail Investor’s Edge in Stocktoberfest Fireside Chat on Social Arbitrage

One of the programming highlights at Stocktoberfest presented by Tradr ETFs was “Social Arbitrage and the Democratization of Investing,” a fireside chat between Chris Camillo, Investor and Co-Host of DumbMoney.TV, and Stocktwits Founder and CEO Howard Lindzon. The session took place on October 7 at City Winery in New York City, during the programming day of Stocktwits’ flagship annual event.

The conversation centered on a premise at the heart of the Stocktwits community: that social arbitrage has given individual investors a genuine analytical edge over Wall Street’s traditional information advantages. Camillo and Lindzon explored what that edge is made of and where it is headed next.

The topic tied directly to one of the two themes that shaped this year’s programming. Stocktwits built the day around agentic trading and social relative strength. The social side of that equation ran through several sessions, including “Building an Audience the Algorithm Can’t Fake” and “The World of Narratives & AI Trends,” which looked at why institutions increasingly treat the history of retail sentiment as a leading indicator.

The fireside chat also spoke to the makeup of the room. Stocktoberfest 2026 drew more than 350 ticketed guests, including 40 financial creators with a combined audience of more than 11 million followers, alongside top traders, public company executives, data providers, registered investment advisors, and retail analysts.

Stocktoberfest 2026 was presented by Title Partner Tradr ETFs, with supporting and on-site partners: Accutron, Alpaca, ArcStone, Carbon Arc, Direxion, IBN, Lowenstein Sandler, Maxim Group, MicroSectors by REX Shares, Nasdaq Private Market, REalloys, Rothschild Wealth Partners, Secfi, VanEck, Voyager Technologies, ZenaTech.
