As an increasing number of people seek unique culture-immersive holiday experiences or simply an outlet for spending time together with far-flung family members, the luxury travel market is expected to grow with a CAGR of nearly 8 percent between 2019 and 2026, according to research by analysts at Allied Market Research (http://ibn.fm/T2GG1).

The hotel industry, vacation rental investors and independent Airbnb-type homeowners with rooms for let are poised to provide more options than ever to eager but weary travelers. The United States alone has approximately 9 million second homes, with 25% being rented (http://ibn.fm/7LzUJ), representing a huge market potential for short-term rentals accessible online through sites like Airbnb and Vrbo (http://ibn.fm/qGISY). In addition, the U.S. hotel industry recently reported a healthy rise in year-over-year revenue and revenue per available room (RevPAR) during November, according to American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) publication Lodging (http://ibn.fm/8qYDK).

InsuraGuest Inc. is helping to provide these travelers and the venues they visit with peace of mind through a breakout InsurTech product that targets coverage needs that may not be met by traditional traveler’s insurance, medical insurance or homeowner’s insurance. The company’s specialized API connects with the hotel’s or vacation rental’s property management systems, giving it access to millions of properties worldwide.

“We are excited to be expanding our distribution into Europe. The European market is more than twice the size of the US,” InsuraGuest Chairman and CEO Douglas Anderson stated in a September news release (http://ibn.fm/emRym). “Last year there were 2.8 billion hotel nights stayed in Europe compared to 1.1 billion in the US. Additionally, $100 billion was spent on vacation rentals.”

The vacation rental market is increasingly becoming the preferred night-stay option for some travelers and it is enjoying a global scale. Real estate trend watchers at the iPropertyManagement.com website predict vacation rentals will overtake the hotel industry’s revenues this coming year (http://ibn.fm/uLzPm), citing over 150 million Airbnb users worldwide and 60 percent of those accounts in Europe.

An increasing number of insurance providers are offering short-term rental insurance policies to property owners that don’t protect the property’s guests. InsuraGuest’s aim is to fill that gap and cover the guest in case of property liability damage or theft, as well as liability in case guests suffer accidental injuries that require medical attention while on the property.

In addition, HTC’s patented Delta Purification™ technology recycles, reuses, and purifies the extraction ethanol used in the cannabidiol (CBD) extraction process, being designed to optimally manage and reduce any CBD waste losses by re-extracting all wastes the purified ethanol yields.

A hemp biomass cultivation, extraction, formulation and refining entity, HTC is a force to be reckoned with in the CBD extraction market, as U.S. sales of hemp-based CBD products are projected to reach $22 billion by 2022, up from $591 million in 2018 (http://ibn.fm/1WoCw). CBD derivatives alone are expected to generate $900 million in 2020 (http://ibn.fm/c0sBb). These include CBD-infused topicals, edibles, and vapes.

In this fast-growing market, HTC Extraction Systems is hard at work to expand operations and position itself as a major provider of CBD extraction services, having already deployed extensive investments in the acquisition of extracting, purifying and refining equipment. Recently, HTC closed a bought deal private placement with gross proceeds of $10 million (http://ibn.fm/rnNYH) to finance 25 million units of the company. The proceeds are used to fund the company’s future growth plans.

To further expand operations, HTC acquired California-based Kase Farma Inc., a high-quality, premium hemp goods producer who also provides white-label manufacturing for other cannabinoid suppliers. This company is widely recognized for its firm engagement to customers, community, and the environment (http://ibn.fm/xSbfx).

Among HTC’s strategic initiatives are potential U.S. operations, tolling contracts, marketing and distribution agreements, project construction updates, and extraction equipment purchasing. For the 2020 hemp growing and production year, the company will sign IPGrow™ hemp biomass tolling contracts with producers and with hemp biomass providers in the United States.

Additionally, HTC completed a 19,000-square-foot facility that will house extraction and formulation processing, quality assurance testing, and product development laboratories at its Port Lajord location 17 miles southeast of Regina, Saskatchewan. The facility will be on par with the highest performance and quality standards for extraction and refining worldwide.

The company also finalized the construction of a 27,000-square-foot hemp biomass processing and storage facility, which will be used to store extraction-ready biomass. The company reports major investments in the purchase of extraction, purification, and refining equipment.

Predictive Oncology Inc.’s (NASDAQ: POAI) Disruptive Platform Overcoming Obstacles in Precision Medicine Industry

  • The global precision medicine market is estimated to reach $84.6 billion by 2024
  • Predictive Oncology is bringing cutting-edge technology to cancer research to develop highly customizable assessment methods that improve patient outcomes
  • POAI leverages unique competitive advantage that stems from readily available access to historical data on tumor profiles and their drug responses

Precision medicine, an approach that seeks to understand the genetic makeup of a patient’s tumor in order to customize a drug targeting the particular gene type for each patient, offers tremendous potential for the treatment of a number of diseases. Predictive Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ: POAI), a data and artificial-intelligence-driven precision medicine company that develops models that predict tumor drug response, possesses a unique competitive advantage in this space, which Mordor Intelligence Inc. estimates will grow at a CAGR of 9.7%, reaching $84.6 billion by 2024 (http://ibn.fm/opuHt).

Despite the industry’s optimistic outlook, technology used in precision medicine faces a serious obstacle due to the lack of available data to enable its application. Pharmaceutical companies have invested heavily in genomics and “big data” to understand each patient’s genome to design target therapies. However, success rates for targeted therapies are low, and uptake in clinical practice is patchy.

As pharmaceuticals realize that the “just genomics” approach is not enough, an unmet need for a comprehensive, multi-omic (genome, transcriptome, epigenome, proteome, responseome and microbiome) picture of the tumor is becoming apparent. Despite evidence that the multi-omic approach is the most promising, leveraging this technology is difficult because few comprehensive, multi-omic datasets currently exist. Such data sets are notoriously difficult to create because it takes years to build multi-omic pictures of the tumors.

Unlike most other competitors, Predictive Oncology already has samples and access to historical data on clinical outcomes, which puts the company in a powerful position to generate value to pharmaceutical companies much more quickly than its competitors. In comparison, companies starting today must invest a considerable amount of funds in data collection and then wait at least five years for the clinical outcome data before they can capitalize on these investments – POAI, on the other hand, merely needs months.

Specifically, POAI can leverage two unique proprietary assets, from its acquisition of Helomics) which virtually eliminate development risk, a factor that considerably weighs on competitors’ efforts in the precision medicine space. First, Predictive Oncology possesses a clinically validated, tumor profiling platform built from data derived from actual tumors collected from patients over more than 10 years. which was clinically validated in ovarian cancer. Second, the company possesses data on the drug-response profiles of over 150,000 tumors across 137 cancer types tested over the same period. Using this valuable historical data, POAI’s platform can help predict drug response and outcome of the specific type of tumor collected from new patients, thus improving the patient outcomes.

Through its subsidiary Helomics, a leader in AI and functional precision medicine, POAI is bringing this cutting-edge technology to cancer research, where it’s working with the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and biotech industries to develop predictive models of how tumors response to drugs which can be used both for clinical decision support and research into new therapies.

According to Mordor Intelligence Inc, as precision medicine is primarily focused on better treatment of oncological diseases, oncology is expected to have the largest market share, with estimated market dominance in excess of 30% over other precision medicine segments and a CAGR of 10.3% from 2018 to 2024. With its unique proprietary technology, POAI is poised to capture a considerable portion of this growth potential.

MCTC Holdings Inc. (MCTC) Launches Hemp You Can Feel™ Coffee Based on Patent Pending Hemp Extract Infusion Technology

  • Unique hemp extract coffee created via dual infusion clean label process using exclusively natural ingredients without chemical additives
  • Company expands on development of infusion technologies to include exotic cannabinoids such as CBN and THC-V, which may improve sleep and control appetite
  • Industrial hemp market to grow to $26.6 billion by 2025 at CAGR of 34.0%

Cannabinoid science innovator MCTC Holdings Inc. (OTC: MCTC), doing business as Cannabis Global, Inc., announced the launch of Hemp You Can Feel™ Coffee based on its patent pending hemp extract infusion technologies. The coffee will become available to consumers later in January 2020. “The new product is based on our recently completed R&D efforts that resulted in our dual infusion clean label process that uses only natural ingredients and zero chemical additives,” CEO Arman Tabatabaei stated in a company press release (http://ibn.fm/qWpFi). The single serving coffee pods will be in a 100% compostable format.

MCTC Holdings focuses on high-growth and high-margin sub-sectors of the cannabis and hemp industry. Its revolutionary brand Hemp You Can Feel™ is based on an alcohol beverage replacement technology, unique in its delivery method. Traditional consumption of hemp extract shows downsides in terms of not feeling the effects right away. A lot of consumers give it up as a result. This disadvantage is eliminated with Hemp You Can Feel™.

The company’s products are 95% organic and of supreme quality. MCTC Holdings monitors the entire production process as green coffee beans are imported, roasted, and ground on site. The dual infusion process differs markedly from the practices of most hemp coffee brands, which just spray the coffee with extract. The innovative approach is Patent Pending with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.

MCTC’s organic coffee is infused with only hemp extracts, honey from organic farms, organic non-GMO starches from vegetables, and trace amounts of organic vegetable and coconut oils, a fact reflected in the price and quality of the company’s products.

Each coffee pod contains at least 30 milligrams of cannabidiol (CBD), a large number of additional hemp extract components, and no detectable tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The packaging of Hemp You Can Feel™ coffee is another highlight of the product. While most single-serving coffee pods are either incinerated or dumped in rivers, lakes, and the ocean, Hemp You Can Feel™ is 100% compostable within 120 days of being discarded properly. This includes the packaging, the lid, the coffee pod, and the package inserts.

MCTC Holdings recently announced a pending name change to Cannabis Global, Inc. The integrated cannabis business operation is poised to take advantage of opportunities in the cannabis industry while avoiding overcrowded and potentially problematic niches like retail and cultivation. The company’s initial business interests include a hemp oil remediation business that produces ultra-pure cannabinoids free of psychoactive effect producing THC, an industrial hemp cultivation effort in Southern California, and an innovative nano infused line of THC and CBD powdered drink products.

The company is active in multiple verticals of the fast-growing global cannabis and industrial hemp markets via acquisitions, partnerships and the development of new intellectual property. According to a Research and Markets report, the global industrial hemp market is poised to grow exponentially, from $4.6 billion in 2019 to $26.6 billion by 2025, recording a CAGR of 34% (http://ibn.fm/Grwji).

New Year’s Holiday Revelries Show Importance of MCTC Holdings Inc. (MCTC) Cannabis Beverage Infusion Developments

  • MCTC Holdings Inc. (soon to become Cannabis Global Inc.) is working to develop cannabis alternatives to alcohol for relaxing beverages
  • Canada’s national legalization of cannabis-infused food and beverage products is pioneering the transformation of the food-wellness industry, and a growing emphasis on funding research in the United States is encouraging advocates
  • MCTC’s growing body of patents focus on the potential of its Hemp You Can Feel™ brand of minuscule cannabinoid extract particles

The sendoff for the old year and welcome of a new one have become annual rites of passage not only for revelers rededicating themselves to a sense of hope for better days, but also for emergency personnel anticipating the consequences of too much alcohol consumption on the nation’s roads as well as in people’s homes.

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are peak times for people to enjoy an alcoholic beverage. In order to stem the potential destructive behaviors associated with drinking alcohol, law enforcement officers are called on to work overtime hours during the holiday to intercept drunken drivers (http://ibn.fm/cek6v). Some states forgo the revenue promise of the busiest day of the year for alcohol sales and require liquor stores to close early on New Year’s Eve and / or remain closed New Year’s Day, prompting revelers to ‘stock up’ (http://ibn.fm/Ib3xM). DUI lawyers brace themselves for middle-of-the-night phone calls (http://ibn.fm/wCcQj) and police worldwide expect an increase in reports of domestic violence (http://ibn.fm/2W5wg).

MCTC Holdings Inc. (OTC: MCTC) is a Delaware-registered company that reorganized its management last year to focus its budding cannabis industry strategy on the science of alcohol replacement, utilizing the promise of hemp cannabinoid-infused beverages to provide relaxation to consumers and dodge the most toxic consequences of beer and liquor consumption.

The company, which is in the process of rebranding itself as Cannabis Global, Inc., and moving its licensing to Nevada, is increasing its patent portfolio as laboratory results reveal the potential of its revolutionary Hemp You Can Feel™ brand technology. Recent testing indicated Hemp You Can Feel’s capacity for beverage infusion is greater than originally anticipated, mixing extremely small, potent cannabinoid particles in beverages to such a degree that all hemp extracts and major cannabinoids are undetectable post-infusion by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

“We believe the uses for this advanced infusion technology are many, especially as a replacement for alcohol in various beverages,” MCTC Holdings CEO Arman Tabatabaei stated in a December news release (http://ibn.fm/Z0xdi).

Canada recently began rolling out cannabis-infused food and beverages as part of its ongoing national legalization efforts (http://ibn.fm/daDVv), while the United States’ reticence for federal-level regulations has created problems for companies that have already begun pushing infused beverages in that segment of North America, regardless of whether the cannabinoids contain intoxicating tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or non-intoxicating cannabidiol (CBD) (http://ibn.fm/8VUzP).

Growing support for cannabis research in the United States (http://ibn.fm/PBR0c) is prompting hope among advocates that the Food and Drug Administration’s tardy drug substance approval process (http://ibn.fm/pOjWI) will yield to scientific results.

MCTC Holdings’ ongoing research is leading it toward product launches in the coming year and a licensing strategy that will allow other companies to build their own brands on a “white label” manufacturing base at MCTC’s Los Angeles facility.

The company filed for its fifth patent on December 12 and anticipates several more during the coming year.

“We have produced some spectacular results and test data on this new technology and we are in discussions with several companies that are planning product introductions based on Hemp You Can Feel technology,” Tabatabaei stated in a news release (http://ibn.fm/umolm).

Predictive Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ: POAI) Working to Create World’s First Comprehensive, Actionable Multi-Omic Data Set for Ovarian Cancer

  • POAI plans to have first predictive model of ovarian cancer ready for initial commercialization in Q1 2020
  • First batch of 400 ovarian cancer subjects in initiative has been sequenced
  • Groundbreaking AI-driven model of ovarian cancer will be capable of predicting tumor drug response, patient outcome

Predictive Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ: POAI), a company focused on applying artificial intelligence to personalized medicine and drug discovery, has updated the commercialization of its pioneering CancerQuest 2020 initiative (http://ibn.fm/gs5Qh). Based on the updated announcement, the company plans on having its first predictive model of ovarian cancer ready for initial commercialization in revenue-generating projects with Pharma in Q1 2020.

POAI’s CancerQuest 2020 initiative has been driven Helomics, a Predictive Oncology subsidiary which has worked closely with collaborators at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)-Magee Women’s Hospital to optimize and scale the genomic and transcriptomic data that has been gathered. The first batch of the 400 ovarian cancer subjects has been sequenced, and Helomics is confident that the remaining subjects will move forward on schedule.

The sequencing marks the completion of one of five milestones outlined by POAI in its groundbreaking initiative designed to look at both tumor mutations (genome) as well as tumor gene expression (transcriptome) to build a comprehensive multi-omic picture of ovarian tumor (http://ibn.fm/noUgA).

“We are also using deep learning on histopathology images of the tumor tissue (tissue-omics) to add an additional dimension to this multi-omic profile,” explained Helomics CTO Dr. Mark Collins. “We believe the combination of the rich multi-omic profile of the tumor and clinical outcome data will allow us to build an AI-driven model of ovarian cancer capable of predicting the tumor drug response and patient outcome (prognosis).”

POAI anticipates receiving the outcome data on the 400 subjects in this retrospective trial from its collaborators at Magee Women’s Hospital shortly. Helomics intends to use the multi-omic data along with existing drug-response profiles and the outcome data to build its first AI-driven predictive model of ovarian cancer; the company expects the model to be commercialized in Q1 2020.

“We believe that this effort will enhance our understanding of the molecular profiles of women with ovarian cancer by using the power of artificial intelligence to create predictive models of therapeutic success,” said Dr. Robert Edwards, professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (http://ibn.fm/I7qrx). “We are excited about the potential for AI-powered, evidence-based decision making to increase our ability to bring about successful outcomes.”

In addition, Helomics intends to sequence 50% of its 38,000-plus ovarian tumors in the upcoming year, creating what may be the world’s first comprehensive, actionable multi-omic data set for ovarian cancer. And Helomics doesn’t plan on stopping there. The company is already evaluating ways to sequence other cancers types in its database to build additional AI-driven predictive models, strengthening the company’s presence in both the clinical and research markets.

Predictive Oncology, which began as a joint venture between Skyline Medical and Helomics, is ideally positioned to harness the power of artificial intelligence and work with the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and biotech industries to develop highly customizable assessment methods for cancer patients.

In identifying key steps in its plan, PLUS conducted extensive research. As a result, PLUS noted that the strongest companies in the world are typically built by focusing on becoming the best at one thing. As prime examples of this, PLUS cites Cargill in the agriculture sector, Coca-Cola and Budweiser in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector and Target and Walgreens in the retail sector. With those companies as examples, PLUS chose to become “hyperfocused” on building a brand in the CPG cannabis space, because CPG brands have the highest value potential in traditional industries.

After continued analysis and study, Plus Products notes in its investor presentation that brands are typically built on the foundation of an iconic product. PLUS has been determined to establish an iconic product in the edibles sector, which offers the most defensible price premiums. The company has done exactly what it set out to do: offering iconic cannabis gummies – Plus Uplift and Plus Unwind – that have been ranked the top two best-selling cannabis products in California, controlling 21% of the gummies market share in the state.

With the first step of its plan successfully completed, PLUS is moving forward with the next, which is to grow a national brand through new markets, products and consumers. The company has partnered with well-known celebrity John Legend and direct-to-consumer mattress pioneer Casper to launch into the national, direct-to-consumer market, providing cannabis consumers in 43 states access to the best-selling cannabis gummies in California.

In addition, Plus Products crossed state lines recently when it expanded into Nevada’s recreational THD market through a manufacturing partnership with TapRoot Holdings Inc. “Nevada’s expansive tourism and meaningful size make it an ideal next step for building a national THC brand,” the company announced.

PLUS intends to expand into further jurisdictions outside of California and Nevada using a similar partnership model to ensure quality and consistency across all markets. Key focus markets for the company include Michigan, Arizona, Massachusetts, New York and Illinois, which combined represent a potential $5.45 billion-dollar market for PLUS. In addition, the company is also working on building its brand globally by exploring potential international partnerships. Plus Products’ savvy, deliberate approach to success and growth has firmly established the company as a top player in the burgeoning industry.
